Sport at Farnborough has a strong and illustrious history based upon Rugby Union success. Farnborough Falcons RL celebrate their first full season in senior competition and have already grown into a popular club in both Rushmoor Borough, Hampshire County and within our wider catchment, covering sections of the neighbouring tri-counties areas. The Club offers weekly training sessions with qualified coaches and scheduled fixtures throughout the Summer at both a competitive and social level.

Farnborough Falcons were founded in 2006 by some of the Union players from Farnborough Rugby Club. A large increment of players followed their first match in October 2006. The Club completed its inital entry into the London Youth League, finishing third. Falcons success prompted a move to the Southern Conference League for the following season.

Our 2007 season saw a fantastic effort from both players and staff during which Falcons won the Co-Operative sponsored Southern Conference League and reached the Quarter Finals of the National Club Competition. Also during 2007 Falcons formed an associate bond with Farnborough Rugby Club which enhanced their training and social facilities, and became the first dual code club in Hampshire.

The coming 2008 season sees Falcons aspirations grow still further with entry into the Premier League where they will surely face the stiffest competition of their brief history. The formation of an U13/14 Youth side and their entry into the London Merit league will start the succession process, and bring in new players from our catchment areas.

The Club already has a close link with professional club Harlequins RL, the South's only Super league side. We have also formed associations with the Celtic Nations, having had three players named for representation in the National sides of Ireland and Wales
